PMCT Team

PMCT is fortunate to have a team of skilled and highly motivated staff who are dedicated to prevocational education and assisting Junior Doctors and IMGs across Tasmania. Below are the people who work for PMCT and their contact details.

Dr Terry Brown
Role: Director of Clinical Training (IMGs)

Terry is the Chair of PMCT and is on various committees including the Accreditation, PMCT Council, and Intern Expansion Committee. Terry has been a DCT at the Royal Hobart Hospital since 2002. Terry assists to provide advice and support for IMGs in the hospital. Terry also has a strong background and interest in simulation training, and works with the clinical educator to provide ALS/PLS simulation training for staff in the hospital.
 

Dr Lynn Hemmings

Lynn has been the Medical Education Advisor at Royal Hobart Hospital since 2002. Lynn has a background in health, management and tertiary education. Lynn’s role is to coordinate the education, feedback, supervision and support of prevocational medical staff, with a particular emphasis on the Intern year. Lynn is the chair of the Accreditation Subcommittee.

 

Sandy McManus
Role: Education Support Officer

Sandy coordinates clinical bridging courses for International Medical Graduates to assist them in their AMC Clinical Exam preparation. Sandy coordinates the IMG Subcommittee.


Dr Allan Beswick 
Role: Director of Clinical Training (Interns)

Allan is the DCT for Interns and works closely with the MEA to provide support for Interns, particularly those who are having performance difficulties. Allan is also involved in the education program for Interns and has an interest in simulation training.

 
Dr Beth Mulligan
Role: Director of Clinical Training

Beth is the DCT for the Launceston General Hospital, is involved in the delivery of intern tutorial sessions, helps oversee the terms taken by Interns and liaises with clinical supervisors. Beth is chair of the IMG Subcommittee and is a member of the PMCT Committee.
