BPT Tutorials - Coordinator Malcolm Turner (Admin: Katie Plimpton)

Teaching on a range of medical topics targeted for JMOs undertaking the Basic Physician Training Program.  Topics usually emailed to BPTs in the weeks prior to each tutorial. Mondays between 1300 - 1400 hours. 

ED RMO Teaching - Coordinator Lestyn Lewis / Michelle Bowen

A variety of topics targeted at JMOs in ED.  Topics cycle so that all are covered for each ED term.  Some topics require pre-reading, e.g. Resus 4 Kids, so please contact co-ordinator for information in advance if interested in attending these sessions. 

Acute Care Program -Coodinator Lestyn Lewis / Toni Dunbabin

A fairly informal, small group teaching session focused on acute care.  Small group tutorials, resus sim scenarios and basic clinical skills.  Location and topics vary weekly so please email Lestyn to register your interest and he will keep you informed.

ICU Teaching - Coordinator Benoj Varghese (Admin: Lindy Pursell) 

Critical care teaching - often a Registrar-led presentation.  Occasional simulation sessions. Thursday's between 1400 - 1500 hours.  Email Benoj or Lindy for updates on topics and timing/cancellations. (Please note that Morbidity and Mortality meetings are for ICU staff only)

Anaesthetics Primary Teaching - coordinator Elizabeth Power

Anaesthetics primary teaching is quite specialised and not particularly relevant to those not sitting primary anaesthetics esams.  Pre-reading is generally only available to ANZCA members.  If JMOs have a strong interest in anaesthetics primary teaching then they can contact Liz directly

Grand Rounds 

The Clinical School holds an hour of relevant presentations for all medical staff every Friday between 1300 - 1400 hours.  All are welcome at the Keith Millingen Lecture Theatre, Ground Floor, Clinical School.
