An RMO is a resident medical officer who has completed their internship and has been granted general registration by the medical board of Australia.

RMOs work for public hospitals to gain clinical experience after their first year internship. They work under the supervision of medical professionals to diagnose, treat and prevent chronic and life-threatening diseases and injuries.

In addition to providing support to RMOs, PMCT also provides ongoing educational opportunities and access to advice about medical career pathways.
