Since 2008 this award has been presented annually by CPMEC to clinical educators across Australia and New Zealand in recognition of those who have made significant contributions to improving prevocational medical education and training.

The recipient of this Award is a clinical educator who has made a significant contribution to education and training in their workplace settings (hospital, community placements, etc.)

PMCT is delighted to announce that the joint winners of the CPMEC Tasmanian Clinical Educator of the Year Award in 2023 are Dr Alex Kear and Dr Laura Verasdonck, currently working at the North West Regional Hospital. Dr Lynn Hemmings, PMCT Executive Committee Acting Chair, and Dr Alison Tasker, PMCT Director of Clinical Training for the North West region, are pictured here presenting Alex and Laura with their awards.
